Someone offered me a seat!!!!!

Someone offered me a seat on the MRT today!!!!!!! I thought my lang lang dress that is in fashion would be able to do the trick of hiding my pregnancy. But i was really wrong. I am not sure i should describe her as sharp or kind. But nonetheless she is the sharpest or kindest soul among the 9 people sitting on the train. I should thank her.

My baby is formed...

This scan cannot capture the body of the baby very well, because my baby is moving very actively. During the scan, I can see that he/she is moving her hands. : ) By the way, the left side of the picture is the head and the right side is the body. I thought it is the other way round when i saw him/her in the scan. hehe. The picture looks like he/she has a big tummy (but maybe all baby looks like that).

Anyway, gynae ang says that the baby is healthy and should be rather stable now. The size is 5.86cm which is normal. The gynae also did a check on the neck and deduced that the baby is on a low risk side for having down syndrome. Now the baby is fully formed, and it is going to the developing stage.

I am approaching my 2nd trimester... so i only get to see my baby every month from now till third trimester. so sad.... Oh ya, i weighed 54kg today which is an increase of 3kg over a span of 5 weeks.. sadded.

Now, it is 11 weeks and 6 days and my waist measured at 31inches. No weighing machine to measure my weight. But will be able to do so on Monday (24/7) during my next visit to Gynae Ang.

By the way, I did not gorge myself. I only eat 3 normal meals. But anyway, look out for the next post 24/7/06 for more interesting update.

Great price to come with being a pretty mummy-to-be

Just bought a topshop shirt dress that cost $71.20.. that i can wear for prob another 2 months...I have been like that. In just 2 weeks, I have already spent $320.60 on 7 tops that will look nice during these 2 months or so, by not making my tummy not too obvious... but prob can't fit into them after that due to various reasons..... Too big an expenditure, but i am still buying...am rationalising it by saying that if i don't buy, i will not have clothes to wear to work at all.. (remember my miserable section 1 of my wardrobe).. and i need to look nice.. :p
With my maternity bottoms i bought at Spring Maternity, I have spent $551.20 within these 2 weeks... OMG.. need to control if not i won't dare to look at my credit card bills next month.

Dental Treatment

Yesterday, I visited my root canal specialist for my teeth. He said that he can't do the whole course of treatment as it requires X-ray. He don't want to be responsible for anything and thus advised me to finish off the treatment next year, during my 2nd/3rd month of maternity leave. He also poured cold water to me by saying that my implant and crowning specialist will not finish off the implantation process in December (which supposed to be the case).. It has to be after my birth.

So sad. I had my tooth injury on the 09 Oct 2005, and I finished my whole treatment process in May 2007. That is a freaking long period. But what to do, X-rays are potentially harmful to my baby.

For people who are lost and is concerned with my tooth treatment, it goes like that:
1) 3 of my front teeth are dead or rather 2 are dead and 1 dying..and need to do root canal :P... Status: I have completed root canal for the 2 dead teeth and now the doctor don't want to finish the root canal for the dying tooth till next year.

2) My 2 front teeth are longer than usual due to the trauma. As such, they have to cut it smaller and put a permanent crown on it, to make it the same length as the rest.... Status: They have put a temporary crown first, as it supposed to be joined with the crown for my missing tooth (see below)

3) I lost one of my front tooth.. technically bo gay. For my wedding, they put on a temporary crown that sticks to the adjourning teeth cap and now, I look as though i have my full set of teeth.... Status: I have just started my implant process and finished off the first stage of implant. The 2nd stage of implant supposed to be in December but i think it will be April 2007.

4) After the whole implant process is done, I will then create and put on a permanent cap for my 2 front teeth and the implant tooth.

that will be like April / May 2007... on an optimistic side.. sigh...

More shopping

I have tided my wardrobe into 2 sections: 1) Next 6 months ; 2) And i can forget about wearing it for the next 9 months. Can you imagine I have put 10 working bottoms into section 2... and left 6 bottoms in section 1. BUT ... bUT there are prob 4 that i will have to move it to the next section in the next 2 weeks or so... IT is not that I picky but I really can't zip up anymore. How atrocious.

Tops wise, not many in the first section too. either bust too big, or waist too big.... Yet to settle my weekend/casual side... but i dont' carry any hope.

have to do more shopping..

Greatest fear....

My greatest fear about my image has came through. I always have a skinny frame with a heavy bottom. And now, I have an EXPLODED bottom when I only close to 3 months of pregnancy.

Just came home from Spring Maternity @ suntec and tried at least 15 tops/bottoms, and most bottoms really show that i have enormous hips...and big fat thighs. I am really concerned that it will not shrunk back to where i was before pregnancy (which is already bad enough) after I gave birth.

Help..... Whoever knows how to minimise my hips expansion now or hips reduction after pregnancy.. please let me know. I can't allow myself to be a be an auntie with big hips!

10 weeks 4 days

It has been 10 weeks and 4 days today. I have not seen my baby for quite a long time. Feeling excited to see the next scan. It is also still too early to feel his/her kick/presence. I guess at another 2 more months, I will be able to feel his/her kicks and punches... Lately, it is the durian season and I have durian craving. Will still try to eat more as I heard that it is nourishing (though my baby may be too big for delivery) and also i want to condition my kid to love Durian. How can they hate to eat durian when their mum is a durian-lover? : p

Nothing much lately other than:
1) I have been checking out mothercare for often. It is expensive man.. but their girl dress is so sweet
2) Check out where are the maternity shop. Think I still like Spring Maternity @ suntec best..
3) Had tried the mother care support bra... but don't feel at all support.
4) Had tried to read up more on magazines and books, but nothing too informative as yet.
5) My hubby has been talking to the baby everynight for a min... talking non-sensical thing. But it is interesting.

Can you see it?

Can you see the head and leg of my baby? It has grown from 0.95cm to 2.61cm now within 2 weeks (it is 9 weeks and 3 days now). I really felt relieved when i saw and HEARD the heartbeat of my baby during the ultrascan this morning when Gynae Ang did a check. Really feel good and for once, i really feel happy and excited about my baby throughout the day. Think the pregnancy has settled in after I see the silhouette of my baby and hear the thunderous heartbeat. : )

Really feel so so different today and i can't explain why.

Worried Mum

I have some blood spotting today, much more than yesterday (which i ignored). I called my doctor immediately today and he advised me to eat one more "Duphaston" pill today and not to worry, as mine could be old blood as it is brownish.

I really feel worried and concern about my kid today. Hope it will grow strong. I am visiting my gynae tomorrow and I hope everything is fine, and i hope i would be able to see the framework of my baby body. : )

Is it that big?

Yesterday, I met up with my good buddies and the first thing one of them saw me is that " you seems to have put on abit of weight. you pregnant ah?". Today, i attended another good buddy's (another click) ROM and the minute i reach there, she pointed at my tummy and say "wow.. so big"... and the rest of the 2 gals immediately gave me a very shocked face and asks "you pregnant ah"?

Is it that obvious? i have been trying hard to cover. sigh. It has only been 9 weeks now, and everybody seems to have spot it without any effort. Even my mum's maid commented that it is strange that my tummy reveal only in 2 months. My mum speculated that it might be twins.

I measured again, and my waist has now grown to 30 inches... I hope i still can keep under wrap for another month.
