Baby Vernon Tan weighing 800g

Opps, just realise that i have not update my visit to Dr Ang last wed. Apparently, it is the most uninteresting visit. Dr Ang did not spend much time looking at the baby, as such i did not have a good glipmse of him. Can't really make sense whether he is moving anot, except that his hand is on top of his face. And my baby head is facing down now, but his position still can change daily (According to dr ang)... guess there is still space for him to do somersault as he like...

Other than that, Dr ang just says that he weighs about 800g which is about the average weight. That is all for my 6mth visit. However, the nurse warned me that I am gaining too much weight and should watched my diet. I have gained 3 kg each month for the past 2 months (which the norm is about 1-2kg). I really did not gorge myself, but not sure why i still gain 3 kgs in the 2nd month. hmm... hope this month will just gain about 1 kg max.....

Counting the days... soon... just 3 months away, I will be delivering my cute little boy. If I am lucky, I would have him on the 17 Jan 2007... then i can enjoy my CHinese New year. : )

My Development...

Time flies fast... I am already in my 25 weeks (6 months plus)... another 4 more months and if i am lucky another 3 and the half months, I will get rid of the excess water, fats on my tummy, thighs and buttocks. My MATERNITY pants and jeans feel tight at the thighs area..I am sad... my buttocks and thighs have grown prob about 1 and the half or 2 times before my pregnancy. I do not want to be my like mum with a big hips that can never be shed away. worried...

have not weighed myself, but i last weighed at 60 kg about a week ago... tummy getting really big...Lately, I have been feeling super hot too... I guess it is me rather than the weather.

Oh yes, I think I will go for epidural for my labour. Saw the video of child labour (real life video) of how the baby came out from the cervix and vagina.. It looks rather "scary"... Most importantly, I felt super breathless while doing some exercise during the anenatal class which made me feel that I might not be able to have the breath and energy especially when I am in great pain to push the baby.

Tomorrow, it is the time to see Dr Ang and my baby again. Hope I will have interesting update about my baby.

Chinese Name

I have been thinking hard on my baby's names but nothing really came out of it. Thanks to my auntie and uncle who lent me some chinese names book to read on. I have managed to look into 1 and below are some of the names that fall within my expectation of my baby - grow up to be someone with lofty aspirations, but moral principles is very important.

陈祖恩- Grace of the Ancestor
陈耀任- someone that brings Glory to ancestor and with benevolence; uprightness; magnanimity
陈博仁- someone with lofty aspirations (broad; rich; extensive) and benevolence; uprightness; magnanimity
陈博伦- someone with lofty aspirations (broad; rich;extensive) and moral principles
陈仁毫- someone with benevolence; uprightness; magnanimity and broad-minded (mighty and generous)

Apparently, the "Ren zi pang" is good for baby that are born in the year of dog. So that how i picked the names. It is still open - still open to suggestions or enlightenments from any chinese idoims/proverbs experts. Most importantly, the above names has not been reviewed/approved by my hubby.

1st Anenatal Class

Yesterday, I went for my 1st Anenatal Class... It was rather boring, teaching you about the breathing techniques, some exercise, talks about the pregnancy diet and do- and dont. Though the instructor abit the loh so but she can be quite humourous at times. And they do give away free gifts.... I got 3 Avent Small feeding bottles. Yeah!!

I can't wait for the 4th lesson where they teach you more about caring for your baby, like bathing and caring, which i think i really need that.

I have lots of stretchmarks and cellutite in my buttocks area!!! This is super sad!
hope no more of these... and it will not spread to other area!!!

big and pointed tummy

I am starting to feel the weight of my baby when i am sleeping. I have to sleep side way, and can't really move really freely. This is how big my tummy now that is measuring 35.5inches now. (sob)... don't know how big it will expand. I have to switch to really maternity clothes now or very soon.

It is quite pointed right? I also noticed and received comments that my nose is bigger now. All the signs of a baby boy. : )

Alot of people advise me to do some "tai Jiao" but have not been doing much. Periodically, I will listen to some baby/classical songs. That about it. I did not buy/borrow books to read to baby vernon. I think baby is more exposed to mahjong than books. : )
